Tenuta San Leonardo
Over 1,000 years ago, San Leonardo was a monastery. Today, the estate is home to vineyards shielded from cold northern winds by the imposing Alps. Its owners, the Marquis Guerrieri Gonzaga, have been its proud custodians since the 18th century, continuing the story of viniculture within these ancient walls. Between 2015 and 2018, San Leonardo converted to organic viticulture and was certified as a Friend of Biodiversity, a testament to the estate’s deep commitment to preserving its natural character. From the modern barrique cellar down to its 15th century vaults, San Leonardo wines are aged according to time-honoured artisanal methods, yielding wines noted for harmony and elegance – true representatives of Italy’s wine tradition.
