Gusbourne Estate

The Gusbourne Estate in Kent dates back to 1410. The de Goosebourne family crest depicted three geese; today, every bottle of wine carries a goose crest in honour of this heritage. In 2004, Andrew Weeber bought the estate with a single goal: to create English sparkling wines to stand up alongside the finest offerings from across the globe. The first vines were planted that year, here on the very edge of the viable viticultural map. Their debut vintages were released in 2010 to critical acclaim, and Gusbourne Estate quickly earned a reputation as makers of exceptional wines. Their approach favours minimal intervention out of respect for the vineyards and fruit, bringing together age-old traditions, modern technology and their own exacting standards.
